So, I guess this is where I say "hello," right?

Hello!

A little about me: I'm a 31-year-old IT project manager living in the middle of the vast prairie wastelands of Iowa. I'm married with two rambunctious boys. Other things about me, in no particular order:

• I love my Nintendo Wii
• chinese food is wonderful
• so is mongolian food
• I Barack the vote whenever possible, but most recently at the Iowa county-level delegate convention
• I <3 scifi, but most recently Scalzi's "Old Man's War" trilogy has me hooked
• I twitter more often than I blog (see what I did there?)
• I love collaborative fiction, especially at Ficlets and Protagonize (did it again)
• I try to fit the phrase "articulated resonance" into any daily conversation, just for fun
• no, I have never once used the phrase properly
• I only joined this forum because my primary online community has been blocked by my workplace
• that doesn't mean I won't love this site, just that I once loved that site more
