cursing and cussing and swearing

Somewhat surprised no one has mentioned the oath-some Conan, by Crom. Our favorite barbarian's invocations of the gods have always been most suitable to me.

It's been a while, so I don't remember if Howard included modern invective as well - I believe there was a little. But Conan definitely had a way with the cussing.

REH was the first thing that came to my mind when I read this thread. All the characters swore by the gods names. I believe that Ishtar's teats were also invoked a few times. But nothing beat the sheer rumble that Conan got out of "Crom".

Not exactly curse words, but used similarly are some of these expressions from comic books/strips. It's not like they could use "I'll be damned" or "shit".

My grandmother and my aunt used to use that a lot. I haven't heard it since the aunt died.
